Ep. 35 - AI for Good with Anna Bethke
In this installment of the Future Grind podcast, host Ryan O’Shea speaks with Anna Bethke, the head of AI for Social Good at Intel. In this role she is responsible for establishing partnerships with social impact organizations, and for using Intel’s technologies and artificial intelligence to help them achieve their goals. She is also actively involved in the AI ethics discussion and collaborates on research surrounding the design of fair, transparent, ethical, and accessible AI systems. In her previous role she developed deep learning natural language processing algorithms as a deep learning data scientist at the Intel AI Lab. Anna received an M.S and B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from MIT and previously worked as a data scientist at MIT Lincoln Laboratory, Argonne National Laboratory, and more.
They discuss what AI and AI for Good even means, bias and AI ethics, available resources, and more. Say hello to Anna on Twitter at @data_beth
