All 55 episodes of the Future Grind podcast (as of March 1, 2021), as well as submissions of photos, videos, art, text, and more from members of the Future Grind audience, are headed to the Moon onboard Astrobotic’s Peregrine lander as part of the first commercial lunar landing in history!

Examples of files that will be flying with Future Grind include:

- Jason Silva’s Shots of Awe episode “Exploring Space: Cosmic Revolutionaries
-
A copy of The Transhumanist Manifesto, submitted by Humanity Plus
- Visual art from Darrin Milliner
- A Cody’sLab video on Electricity From Moonlight
- Anastasia Synn’s appearance on Penn & Teller: Fool Us
- Masters of Illusion Amazing Johnathan
- An advance copy of April Reagan’s book Bridge Makers
- and much more!

Peregrine will fly aboard ULA’s new Vulcan Centaur rocket later in 2021 carrying Future Grind’s submissions alongside a diverse suite of other payloads from seven different countries and dozens of science teams, and it is poised to be the first American spacecraft to land on the Moon since the Apollo program over 50 years ago.

FAQS (via Astrobotic)

How does this benefit space exploration?

By participating, you're supporting the first commercial lunar landing in history. This mission will be the first of many Astrobotic lunar delivery missions that will open the Moon to scientists, explorers, and other pioneers who will expand human activity in space.

If there's a problem on the mission, can I get a refund?

This is nonrefundable*. Astrobotic works very hard each day to make sure that their spacecraft are reliable and safe but space travel is still risky. We believe the reward of expanding human access to space is well worth that risk.
*If your files never make it on to the lander, you will receive a refund from Future Grind.

Will my item deteriorate on the Moon?

The environment on the Moon is harsh. There are extreme temperature variances and solar radiation that reaches the surface. Much like other artifacts from history, some items will age better than others. Regardless of the condition of the items however, all participants will have a lasting connection to the Moon for their most important memories. You will be a participant of the first commercial lunar landings in human history.
